2015 Relay For Life challenge

r4l600Join me and register now for the 2015 Relay For Life challenge!

Kawana Waters State College 3pm Saturday, 23rd May 2015 until 9am Sunday 24th May 2015

It’s not too late to register and participate in the fight against cancer at the Kawana Relay For Life Saturday, 23 & 24 May. Relay For Life is a unique overnight, community event where teams of up to 15 people keep a baton moving in a relay-style walk over 18 hours to raise funds for Cancer Council Queensland. As many of you know, my family have supported this event for many years, not only to show support for my mum, who is a survivor but to raise much needed funds to assist finding a cure to this terrible disease. Every dollar raised through Relay For Life helps Cancer Council Queensland to:

  • Investigate new ways to prevent, detect and treat cancers. $12 million is invested in research each year.
  • Educate people in your community about ways they can reduce their cancer risk.
  • Advocate for cancer control.
  • Support people during their times of greatest need through financial assistance and free accommodation near treatment facilities in Rockhampton, Townsville and Brisbane.

Entry for Relay For Life is just $15 for Under 18s and $20 for adults, which includes a shirt and breakfast at the event.
